- Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly, a member of rap duo Kris Kross, was born in Atlanta. The duo, consisting of Chris Kelly and Chris Smith, became famous for the hit “Jump,” which reached No. 1 in the US and No. 2 in the UK in 1992. Kelly was 12 or 13 when the song was recorded. The duo was also known for wearing their clothes backwards, a style called “totally krossed out.”
