American singer, dancer and actress Cassie Ventura was born. She was discovered by Sean Combs, who partnered with his record label for the commercial release of her 2006 debut single “Me & U”. The song reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rapper and singer Carlos St. John Phillips, known by his stage name Saint Jhn, was born in Brooklyn, New York. He became best known for the song “Roses”, whose 2019 remix by Kazakh DJ Imanbek became a worldwide hit.

American R&B singer and songwriter Mario Dewar Barrett was born in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2004, he had the US No. 1 hit “Let Me Love You”, which reached No. 2 in the UK in 2005.

English musician, singer, and songwriter Florence Welch, co-founder and frontwoman of Florence and the Machine, was born in London. In 2009, the band released the album “Lungs”, which reached No. 1 in the UK and won a Brit Award for Best British Album. American rapper and actor Percy Romeo Miller Jr., also known as Lil' Romeo, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the son of rapper and record label founder Master P. He later appeared in his own Nickelodeon show “Romeo”.

Lianne La Havas, British singer and songwriter, was born in London. Her 2012 debut studio album “Is Your Love Big Enough?” received a nomination in the BBC Sound of 2012 poll and won the iTunes Album of the Year 2012 award.

American singer and songwriter Bleta Rexha was born. She first established herself as a songwriter, including as a co-writer of Eminem’s single “The Monster”, which later won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance, as well as songs for Shinee, Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas. Her 2017 single “Meant to Be” with Florida Georgia Line was highly successful as a country crossover, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spending a record 50 weeks at the top of the US country chart.

Singer Liam Payne was born in Wolverhampton, England. He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction. The group was formed after his appearance on the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010 and had UK No. 1 singles "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)". Payne died on October 17, 2024, at the age of 31 in Argentina after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires.
