- Gerry Marsden of Gerry and the Pacemakers married Pauline Behan, the group's fan-club secretary and former girlfriend of George Harrison. When Gerry first asked her out, George was in Hamburg, so she accepted the invitation. After one of their arguments, Gerry wrote the song "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying." The song moved Pauline, the couple reconciled and remained together until Gerry's death on January 3, 2021.
