Description

After negative reactions from test audiences, 20th Century Fox had the ending of the film “Love Me Tender” reshot. The tragic fate of Presley’s character was not changed, but a scene showing Elvis’s singing ghost was added to the final credits, where he sang another verse of the title song. It was Elvis’s acting debut and his only film in which he was not billed as the leading star. The new footage also contained a continuity error caused by his recently dyed hair.
